Dr. Helen Limon
Helen Limon is a children’s writer and Research Associate at the Newcastle Centre for the Literary Arts – www.ncl.ac.uk/ncla. The NCLA is the research institute for creative writing in the School of English Literature, Language and Linguistics at Newcastle University, in the UK.
Dr. Alex Lockwood
Alex Lockwood is Senior Lecturer in Magazine Journalism at Sunderland University and has worked as a journalist, editor and editorial manager since 1994 across a number of national magazines and online services, particularly in the music and creative arts sector, and in development and environmental journalism.
Geoff Bright is a Research Fellow at Education and Social Research Institute at MMU. A former steel worker and rail worker, Geoff has a background in trade union, adult and further education. He was Senior Tutor in Social Sciences in a general FE college between 1990 and 2002 and for the ten years before being appointed at ESRI in 2012 was a senior manager responsible for all aspects of equalities and social inclusion in the young people’s department of a local authority.
Dr. Jasjit Singh
Jasjit Singh is an Arts Engaged Fellow at the University of Leeds. His research focuses on religious transmission among young members of minority ethnic groups. Having examined formal means of transmission in his work to date, Jasjit now has a developing interest in more informal methods of religious transmission, including the role of music.
Debbie Beeks is Learning & Participation Manager at Seven Stories, the National Centre for Children’s Books. With a background in Participatory Drama, Debbie has devised and delivered Learning Programme at Seven Stories for 10 years, with a focus on creative engagement, professional development, family audiences, projects and partnerships.
Colin served for 24 years in the Royal Engineers leaving the army as a Warrant Officer in 2003. Colin then worked in the Third Sector as Operations Manager and Business Manager for NECA a specialist drug and alcohol service provider in the North East. Colin helped set up Forward Assist with CEO Tony Wright and took over the role of Operations Director in January 2014.
